On all off site location sessions I use an off camera flash to even out light and create some dramatic images.  The main light I use it the Godox AD400.

The Godox AD400 Pro is a high-quality and powerful strobe light that has gained popularity among professional photographers for its versatility, performance, and reliability. If you're in need of a robust lighting solution for your photography or videography needs, the Godox AD400 Pro is worth considering. Here's a detailed review of this powerful lighting tool.

One of the key features of the Godox AD400 Pro is its impressive power output. With a maximum flash output of 400Ws, this strobe light is capable of producing a strong and consistent light source, making it suitable for a wide range of photography genres including portrait, fashion, wedding, and commercial photography. Its high power output allows for greater flexibility in controlling light and achieving desired lighting effects.

The Godox AD400 Pro also offers excellent versatility with its wide range of flash duration and recycling times. It has a flash duration range of 1/220 to 1/10,100 seconds, which allows for freezing fast-moving subjects or capturing motion in action shots. Additionally, the AD400 Pro has a fast recycling time of 0.01 to 0.9 seconds, ensuring that you can capture multiple shots quickly without missing crucial moments.

Another standout feature of the Godox AD400 Pro is its wireless control capabilities. It comes with a built-in 2.4 GHz X system that allows for wireless control and triggering of multiple strobes in up to 32 channels and 16 groups. This makes it easy to control and adjust the lighting setup remotely, providing greater convenience and flexibility during photoshoots.

The Godox AD400 Pro also offers a range of advanced features, such as high-speed sync (HSS), which allows for shooting at higher shutter speeds than the camera's sync speed, and a stable color temperature of 5600K with a tight +/- 75K tolerance, ensuring accurate and consistent color reproduction.

The build quality of the Godox AD400 Pro is also commendable. It features a durable metal body with a clear and easy-to-navigate LCD screen, providing a user-friendly interface for adjusting settings and monitoring the strobe's performance. The AD400 Pro also has a robust battery life, capable of delivering up to 390 full power flashes on a single charge, making it ideal for on-location shoots where power sources may be limited.

In conclusion, the Godox AD400 Pro is a reliable, powerful, and versatile strobe light that offers impressive performance and features for professional photographers. Its high power output, fast flash duration, wireless control capabilities, and durable build quality make it a top choice for those in need of a high-quality lighting solution. Whether you're a portrait, fashion, or wedding photographer, the Godox AD400 Pro is a solid investment that can help elevate your photography to the next level.
